Amy was born in 1998 and attended Victoria Primary School. She has just finished seven years at Belfast High School and is now attending Belfast Metropolitan College completing a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies.
Amy has always loved performing and has previously taken Irish Dancing lessons, competing in competitions. She also took part in two Young Americans workshops and another smaller YA workshop hosted by Uplift. Amy has been a member of Uplift since she was 11 and has been a cast member of many productions. These include: Christmas shows, Spring shows, Dinner Theatre (2013-2017), and two Murder Mysteries. Amy also had the opportunity to travel to Danville, Kentucky as a cast member in a cultural exchange music outreach programme. Here, the cast was able to teach the three disciplines of performance, helping to build children's confidence. This was an amazing experience, and one that she is incredibly grateful to Uplift for providing her with. Amy has played the clarinet for 9 years and is currently working towards Grade 7. She has completed her Grade 5 music theory. Amy was a member of the Primary School choir and Senior Choir in high school from fourth year to upper sixth. In the high school choir Amy took part in the Choir of the Year competition and also had the chance to perform in the Belfast Tattoo, which was held in the SSE Arena. Amy was part of my high school Orchestra and Wind Band and also had the opportunity to take part in three school plays - Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, and Elf Jr.
Amy am passionate about the three disciplines of dance, voice and stagecraft and also passionate about working with children and hopes to continue growing in her new role at Uplift.
