Alex was born in Belfast in 1999, he attended Victoria Park Primary School. He completed seven years at Ashfield Boys High School, this includes his achievement of Subsidiary Diploma in Performing Arts. Alex now works as a classroom assistant at Braniel Primary School. Alex got his first taste of the world of theatre at Belvoir Players, where he has now been a member for over 11 years.  During his time at the Belvoir Academy he has taken part in many shows such as: Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Addams Family, Fame and Little Shop of Horrors. He has also taken part in a range of plays and pantomimes with Belvoir.

Alex then moved overseas to further his training in singing, dancing and acting on which he has received a Certificate of Higher Education in Musical Theatre from Bath Spa University. He has now moved back home and is passing on his experience to younger people. He is a tutor at Belvoir Players and teaches singing privately. Alex is also a pianist and musical director, he works with the wide range of groups throughout Northern Ireland, including his own theatre company East Broadway.

Alex is very excited to be working with Uplift and can’t wait to pass on his experience and expertise to all the Uplifters!
