Amy MoffettCo-Founder // Choreographer and Artistic Director firstname.lastname@example.org
Amy was born in Los Angeles, California in 1987. She was educated at home and then attended California Pacific College of the Performing Arts for four years where she studied Voice, Dance, Stagecraft, Acting, Psychology, Teaching Methods, Music Theory and Costume Repair/Design. Amy had the opportunity to teach and perform in Japan, Europe, the United Kingdom, Ireland and America.
Growing up, Amy’s home was full of music and she has been taking dance classes and singing since she could walk and talk. In freshman year of high school, Amy joined a choir that travelled the state on weekends and performed with them for all four years of high school.
Amy knew that she wanted always to stay connected with music and dance so when Ryan asked her to come with him to Northern Ireland and co-found Uplift she knew it was an opportunity that she couldn’t pass up. Choreographing and teaching for Uplift has been such a wonderfully challenging experience. Amy loves working with her students, helping to expand their talents and cheering them on as they achieve their goals and dreams. It’s great to have Amy’s style of teaching at Uplift, though it’s more laid-back and easy-going than most professionals, it does not lack passion and the students love her. Amy has directed more than 25 shows at Uplift and was the head artistic director for Northern Ireland’s first ever Dinner Theatre in 2012.
Amy couldn’t be more blessed; with her Saviour Jesus Christ, and her loving husband Ryan by her side there’s nothing more she could ask for.
