Johanna was born in Belfast in 1995 and raised in Larne her whole life. She attended Corran Integrated Primary school, continued her studies at Larne Grammar School and finished her education at Ulidia Integrated College where she obtained 3 A*s at A-level.
Johanna began performing at the tender age of 3 years old, taking Irish Dancing lessons and a few years later began lessons in singing and speech and drama. Johanna has always aspired to move to London to study at Drama College and be on the West End, making a career in Musical Theatre. She has been developing her craft over the years performing in over 15 Musicals, professional pantomimes in Newtownabbey and Londonderry and was a special guest performer in Peter Corry’s ‘Show time at the Musicals’ in Cabaret Supper Club, Belfast. Johanna’s biggest roles to date have been ‘Elle Woods’ in Legally Blonde The Musical and ‘Molly Jenson’ in Ghost The Musical, both in The Grand Opera House, Belfast.
Johanna began Uplift in 2010 after hearing about the company at a Young American’s workshop in Carrickfergus College and feels so grateful towards uplift for the many incredible opportunities it has provided her with, such as, teaching in Danville, Kentucky, USA 3 summers in a row, taking dance master classes with world re-known and Broadway Choreographers in L.A and of course performing in Disneyland California!
Johanna’s love for performing Arts is apparent in her vast resume of shows and she strives to help others see just how incredible music really is and the influence it can have on a person’s life.
